Have you ever looked at the price tag of a designer item and thought “Yeah, I can afford this — if it’s 90% off!”? I can tell you that I’ve certainly been there, and have honed my skills in securing items on my must-have list for the lowest possible price available. One way to zero in on maximizing savings on quality items is to shop at outlets, and I gladly partook in a bargain hunt, courtesy of Woodbury Common Premium Outlets last weekend. Located a little less than an hour from New York City, Woodbury Common Premium Outlets contains an astounding 220 stores with an average of savings of 25%-65% every day.
Most recently the stores of Reed Krakoff, Vera Bradley, and James Perse have opened, with some of my favorites stops being Barneys New York Outlet, Balenciaga, J.Crew, Salvatore Ferragamo, Furla, La Perla, Le Creuset, Burberry, and many more! You can easily spend an entire day here, and not cover every single store! I’ve been checking out the amazing savings at this particular outlet for six years now, having purchased my first Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress there and a great pair of Balenciaga flats back in 2010.
This occasion was orchestrated courtesy of Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, one of over 57 Premium Outlet Centers across the country and a Simon Property. Provided with some gifts cards to shop and experience the savings first-hand, my fellow press buddies and I formulates a plan to maximize our time with a strategic layout of the stores we would hit up. Naturally, we got sidetracked as checked price tags, tried on items, and generally had our mouths agape at the great savings and top notch items we encountered.
Now for the really juicy part: I did find two amazing items, at 90% OFF! The Barneys New York Outlet was a treasure trove of designer duds, and I walked away with a pair of Lady Gaga’s Workshop Erickson Beamon earrings and Pamela Love cuff at 90% off. Don’t believe me? See the receipt above for proof! Also in tow was a Saturdays Surf NYC tee for my fiancé, and a Rodarte for Opening Ceremony Fringe Sweater, a red line item that was an extra 60% off the already marked-down price. NICE! As part of this special press trip, I also acquired some great gifts along the way courtesy of Vera Bradley, Bass Shoes, Adriano Goldschmied, and Theory.
My mission was to acquire some tanks and basics like a versatile belt, underwear, and a beach cover-up, which became complete upon my visits to Last Call Neiman Marcus, J.Crew, Gap, and DKNY, but I couldn’t pass up some other deals along the way (see above for some of the items from my haul). If you live in, or are visiting the New York City vicinity, I strongly recommend checking out Woodbury Common Premium Outlets — I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed! Plus, sign up in advance for the VIP Shopper Club to save even more. It’s free to sign up online to print, or pick up additional coupons once you arrive. You can also follow on Twitter @PremiumOutlets or on Facebook and post about your amazing finds.
Stay tuned for the soon-to-open new stores of Canali (opening this summer), Tom Ford (July 7th), Ilori (July 13th), Loft Outlet (August 2012), Breitling (November 2012), and Jack Spade (2013).
Happy shopping at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, and may you encounter deals even better than mine!
