Did you even know that National Business Women’s Week existed? I didn’t, and I’m a woman and own a business! They even have a blog! Founded in 1928 (really?!?) the National Business Women’s Week spotlights the progress made by female business owners, and the Tory Burch Foundation, founded in 2009, aids in that by helping bolster the success of women’s businesses financially. A special collection by Tory, featuring the sunflower design, her foundation symbol, on scarves, leather bracelets, totes, key chains, a compilation CD and more has a percentage of sales going toward this worthy cause. Retailing from $16.99-$195, you can support the foundation by purchasing one of these products, or make a straight up donation if you’d like!
In the meanwhile, check out the info, think about it, and enter our giveaway for a free Tory Burch Foundation compilation CD (retails for $16.99)! The CD features songs by some of my faves, old and new, including The Smiths, Wyclef Jean, Santigold, and Santana and Citizen Cope.
RULES OF ENTRY:
1) Sign up for the Fashion Pulse Daily Newsletter (if you’re not already a subscriber)

Good luck!

I would rather shop at a small woman owned store any day compared to a large store. So many times the big stores are just too big and don’t care at all about their customers. I like to build a realtionship with the businesses I frequent and this is a great thing for woman to own their own businesses.
I’m 68 years old and have seen so much improvement in women’s rights but still need a need. I do anything I can that will support women in their endeavors.
Thanks. I would like to win.

I think it’s important to support women’s businesses because women need to be empowered! We can show that women are just as successful as men AND can take care of their families while being successful!
Thanks for this giveaway!

For a while it’s always been a “mans world”,especially in business.I feel that men still try and have the upper hand in business by not letting women have their say in how a company is ran.I would support a woman owned business anytime because they know how to run a successful business, especially if they are working moms.
I’m a subscriber. I think women are the NOW of the business world, and men should get used to us being there (they should be by now!), and that’s why I support women in business.
It’s important to support women in business because owning your own business is key to financial security. I’m a subscriber!

Women and powerful beyond measure. Supporting women in business is important because it gives inspiration and empowerment. It encourages women who are already in the business world to thrive and it gives confidence to women who are not yet in the business world.
I signed up for the e-mail blasts, can’t wait to see them! I think it’s so important to support women in business because it shows young girls that women can do anything men can do. By supporting women it teaches the girls to strive to be successful.
I just activated my subscription to Fashion Pulse Daily a few minutes ago and am enjoying the content and comments.
I knew about National Business Women’s Week before this from a display of WIN (Women In Networking) Business Expo held at a local mall with all sorts of companies with entrepreneurs. It was eye-opening to see and learn about local ladies companies and some of the ways to barter for business.
I owned a small business in my resort community for five years. Our local economy tanked and I lost my business last year. I always appreciated that many local, year round residents made it a point to shop in my store, as well as other small locally-owned businesses. It’s a practice I continue and encourage in others.
