Sorel & Lucky Magazine at Olive & Bette’s
Feting Sorel’s latest collection in tandem with Lucky Magazine and the opening of Olive & Bette‘s new store on the Upper East Side, there was plenty of hot cider and marshmallow treats circulating to get everyone in the mood for the colder weather and the warmth of Sorel boots. Picture on me and above, the classic Sorel Caribous (available for men and women).
The Ride, compliments of RapidLash
I experienced The Ride, an interactive bus tour of midtown Manhattan, compliments of RapidLash (for longer looking lashes, $49.95), which was a 75-minute ride that went all over giving informative, and quirky facts, with music and dance performances interspersed throughout.
Forever 21 5th Avenue Store Opening
Forever 21 has a temporary home (for six months) in the old, ornate Takashimaya department store along the prime stretch of Fifth Avenue in NYC (between 54th and 55th streets). I got to experience the new store the day before the grand opening, and with six floors, interesting display and an overall upscale presentation and merchandising of the items, I was LOVING it! In fact, I think this is going to be my favorite Forever 21 location… there’s a whole floor dedicated to accessories and to menswear.
Ralph Lauren Women’s New Mansion, Madison and 72nd Street
Next time you find yourself on the stretch of Madison Avenue with boutique after boutique, don’t forget to head to the Ralph Lauren Women’s store – the new mansion built just to house the high end women’s collection. It’s a full lifestyle offering with Ralph Lauren home encompassing the top floor, and each successive floor complete with accessories, apparel, and of course, plenty of Ricky bags.

Balenciaga: Spanish Master Exhibit at The Queen Sophia Spanish Institute
This exhibit at The Queen Sophia Spanish Institute on the Upper East Side (Park and 68th) just opened, and is a must-see for those who truly appreciate a master couturier whose garments don’t date past the 1960s, yet feel indescribably modern. From bullfighting to religious inspirations in his designs, you can clearly see why Cristobal Balenciaga’s reputation has upheld all of these years.
