When it comes to summer style, I’m all about switching it up. While I do like to get fancy once in a while, casual, fashion-forward looks make up the majority of my wardrobe. Thankfully, Superdry USA is a global fashion brand that understands casual AND contemporary apparel (sweet relief!).
Fashion Pulse Daily was given the awesome opportunity to be featured as a Superdry USA Summer Style Blogger, and I took this opportunity to span both nautical and Western influences. Together, and with the overall vintage American style of the spring/summer 2012 collection, I crafted an outfit I could own as 100% mine: a candy cane-striped jersey crewneck , faded denim shorts, canvas flats, and (my absolute fave!) a classic camel trenchcoat.
Here’s some pieces from my look below :

[Superdry Candy Cane Crew, $80]
The styling, shopping, and video all took place at the new Superdry USA Times Square store — 14,000 square feet of iconic fashion goodness! The two-story store is located at 729 Seventh Avenue at 49th Street with products ranging from men’s and women’s apparel to swimwear, footwear and fragrance.
Goddess dresses bring femininity to the Spring/Summer collection, while plaid shirts and graphic tees help keep the looks a bit rough around the edges. Bikinis and cover ups are definitely a high note, which can be found just in time for the 4th of July in patriotic red, white and blue stripes.
The brand pays homage to its Tokyo-inspired heritage, while I paid some homage to New York City. I hope you enjoy the video as much as I did making it! Check it out:
