The fourth annual Supima Design Competition, to be staged September 8th at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, will showcase a pair of finalists that were meticulously chosen from among the graduating classes at America’s top schools in fashion and design: FIT, Pratt, RISD and Savannah College of Art and Design. Supima, a renowned international mill partner, provided premium denim, shirting and jersey for the finalists to craft an integrated capsule collection of five women’s evening wear pieces. With no monetary cost to participants, yet a hefty prize of $10,000, the young designers are given an opportunity to produce an original runway collection for an esteemed panel of judges (including Nicole Miller and Charlotte Ronson), as well as live viewers at Supima.com. Tune in for our upcoming coverage from New York Fashion Week!
