Now you can get your Sorrelli sparkle on at Nordstrom! The Pennsylvania-based, 30-year-old family company that THE Fashion Pulse Daily go-to jewelry brand has landed at Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com, complete with five different styles of rings and pendant necklaces! Sorrelli’s gorgeous crystal pieces look great layered, or naturally make a colorful fashion make a statement as stand alone pieces. Now’s the opportunity to get up-close and personal with Sorrelli, checking out the gleam of the hand-crafted baubles in 3-D, and deciding which is the perfect hue for you.
All at an affordable $38-$75, indulging in a few pieces for yourself or purchasing as gifts is decidedly guilt-free, especially with the fab added features of Swarovski crystal, antique filigree settings, and adjustable size and length options. Are you an ultra-early holiday shopper? Bingo! The ladies in your life can now be checked off the list thanks to this lil’ pieces. Each style comes in six different color options, including Berrylicious, Blue Jean Dream (my personal favorite), Naughty N Nice, Stardust, Black Multi, and Ultra Violet.
My tried-and-true favorites are the square Pendant Necklace and Cocktail Ring — and now when I’m in Pittsburgh I have a place to go to get my Sorrelli sparkle fix! (Nordstrom is coming to NYC in 2015…) Don’t live near a Nordstrom? No worries- you can still shop the line at Nordstrom.com 24/7 — even better!
Which shade, or style is your favorite?

FYI: The cocktail rings are found in all Nordstrom stores nationwide, while select stores have the pendants as well.

While watching dozens of shows this month for the Spring 2013 collections, it was hard not to glance across the runway and notice the dozens of raised arms, holding cell phones or iPads, documenting the looks live as they came down the runway. Seconds later, those exact same looks were sent out via Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or any other of the myriad of social media channel, which meant anyone in the world with access to a smartphone or computer with internet access could see what the select crew of guests at a runway show just witnessed. Amazing right? Even those with front row seats, the best seats in the house, whipped out phones to share their unique experience with the web.
After covering fashion week for nine years, the emergence of new technology has significantly improved what it’s like for me to be organized, have convenient and useful devices, and simplify the steps involved to completing my work and meet deadlines. Continue reading…

You’ve seen all our favorites for spring 2013 in womenswear, but what about for menswear? We promise not to neglect what will be big for men, come spring, and we have pulled a distinct selection of looks that compiles everything from top notch suits to tried-and-true casual staples, like t-shirts. The use of color for 2013 will be huge, as well as accessorizing with scarves. Without further ado, we present the best of spring 2013, for the fashion aware dude.
1. J.Crew – This collection (above) would make Crayola proud. Color blocked polos, striped rugby sweaters, and lilac shorts and the return of cuffed pants. But, it was the Japanese chambray and navy pinstriped suit that really lined up right. This is the one stop shop for the American male 9-5 wardrobe (with the occasional after hours.)

2. Joseph Abboud – The same textures and lines that made for strong womenswear have shifted to menswear as well. Bombers have proved to be a necessary commodity for both dress up and dress down. Yet, it was an ode to old glamour that made the most sense in Abboud’s collection; classic pieces like ivory sports coats and lightweight sweaters have us yearning (already) for summer Fridays.

I always get so bummed around Labor Day, when the change in the season is eminent, and I must come to terms that my favorite season, the glorious summer, is coming to a close. Do you get melancholy when a particular season ends?
I always consider it an added bonus when, in September, the temperature soars above 80 degrees, and this week granted one of those days. I had to break out my incredibly light, full-length pleated Michael by Michael Kors skirt and a tissue thin LAmade tee, paired with a lightweight cardigan in order to not freeze in air-conditioned buildings. Overall. it was a good summer, of fashion, travel and fun, and now onto what lies ahead with the fall! And hey, now we can enthusiastically try out those trends we spotted on the runways in February for fall 2012!
