Kelly Wearstler’s designs have always enchanted and inspired for their unexpected easy glamour. Her impeccable taste for fashion and interior design has made her a renowned American designer, one who I cannot get enough of. Let’s just say, she’s the friend you’d want to play a game of closet-raid with.
For Resort 2013, Wearstler drew on essence versus abstract to create feminine clothing with an attack of spunk. Deep purples and turquoise blues pop against gold and black neutrals to create a collection that has a textured energy. Hints of animal prints claw their way in, while splashes of camoflauge fight to stand out on trenches, and skirts captivate while pants pounce.
And that’s before we even get to accessories. Delicate gold bangles juxtapose bold earrings and necklaces, and yet any piece can stand on its own or be layered. That’s the beauty of Kelly Wearstler! She lets her art become yours.
