As part of the site’s new redesign, I will also be revamping some of the categories and features. The latest newness to FPD is the “Fashion Pulse Flash” feature, which includes tiny tidbits of info so that you can get the gist of the latest exciting fashion and beauty news and new product launches, along with what I have recently experienced and loved.
hits counters nationwide on April 15th, the latest addition to the New York-centric luxury perfume brand that boasts a fresh floral aroma including topnotes of grapefruit flower, blackcurrent buds and green ivy leaves, heart-notes of jasmine, ylang-ylang, jonquil, and honeyed lily of the valley and base notes of wood, sandalwood, and cedar bark.
The bottle features imagery of swirling fuchsia blossoms with available items for purchase including the 100ml bottle ($260), 50ml bottle $190, the Swarovski bottle ($390), body silk ($130), and a refillable pocket spray ($95), available at Saks Fifth Avenue, select Nordstrom locations, Harrods, and Bondno9.com.
Also in exciting Bond no. 9 news: the brand will soon introduce the first “digital fragrance,” which also is designed to have a three-dimensional QR code on the bottle!

This “P&G Most Loved” collection (Proctor & Gamble) arrived on my door step this week, and I do have to say that each item holds a rightful, necessary place in my health, beauty, and even fashion routine. It would be silly to leave hope without a Tide To Go Stain Eraser Pen in case of any spills to quickly lift the stain, razors, and extra razor blades is super duper importance for hair maintenance (Venus Embrace for me, Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power Razor for him); growing out my bangs and keeping my look in place requires a little spritz (Pantene Hairspray Flexible Hold); while I see signs of exhaustion and aging around my eyes, the Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller is MANDATORY; and last, COVERGIRL Outlast Double LipShine can leave me with a clear, dewy wet lip look, or add in a bit of opalescent color for up to 10 hours of wear!
I absolutely hate dying my hair, and especially having it done professionally, due to the time and more importantly, cost involved. I recently tested the Alterna Haircare 2 Minute Touch-Up, which comes in four color options (Blonde, Light Brown, Dark Brown, and Black), to deal with my roots, that are about nine weeks old, and certainly visible. I was able to brush on some color into my dry hair that brought it closer to matching the rest of my head. The 2 Minutes Touch-Up, available for $24, (available at Ulta, Beauty.com, AlternaHaircare.com, more), sounds a whole lot better than the $150+ I’ve been paying to maintain my locks, so that I can extend the time between visits even further!
Since clothing eventually needs to be laundered, and for a city-dwelling gal that means having to drag a big bag to the laundromat, Tide Pods is a god-send. Not only do I have to lug a jug of detergent (which, mind, you, has been STOLEN on several occasions if I leave it unattended in the ‘mat), but I know exactly how much is needed for the load, with no mess or spill over. Yes! Tide sent me a handful of these little guys to try out, and so far, it is simplifying the laundry process quite well, as it includes detergent, stain remover, and a brightener all in one fell swoop. Tide Pods retail for about $5 for 16 pods.
The essie resort 2013 (above, left) and essie bridal 2013 (above, right) collections are just absolutely stunning, with several colors that will surely be easily identified and loved for seasons to come! From the resort line (available now), the “in the cab-ana” aqua shade has been on my nails non-stop (the collection also features the “first timer” green, “come here!” neon coral, and “under where” orchid shades). From the bridal line (available in April), I can’t help but gravitate toward the “using my maiden name” shade of purplish blue, while the others, “no baggage please (rosy pink), “meet me at the alter” (soft lilac), and my better half (peony pink) are all stunners in their own right! At only $8 a piece, you can easily pick up all of the shades from the collection at fine salons, select retailers, and essie.com.
SeaVees for Gap just launched last week! In case you’re wondering what all of the hype is about, the casual, California-based brand offers washed canvas sneakers in a handful of colors that are destined to be paired with some brightly hued, or even traditional shades of khaki pants or shorts. Harkening back to the year that Gap started (1969), these sneaks prove that classic styles truly do become timeless. Available for $54.95 in select Gap stores, these styles for men and women certainly won’t last long! Check out this short vid on the backstory of the collab, and head to gap.com for store locations.

This Fraas Scarf from its Mystical Coast line reminds me of a magical winter reprieve I took many Februarys ago, with my parents to St. John. If I were there now, I would tie it around my waist to wear from the condo to the cabana, and drape it over my shoulders in the evening. Since the weather in NYC isn’t quite there yet, I will settle on twisting and tying it like a scarf! (Do you dig it too? It’s available for purchase by calling Fraas at 212.575.0191)
Goodness gracious, does the Tone Ocean Therapy Body Wash smell amazing! The tall slender 18 oz bottle, which retails for just $3.99, just launched this past month with a rich, creamy formula that imparts great moisture and hydration in due part to the properties of pearl essence, Vitamin E and sea kelp extracts ingredients. It truly does smell just heavenly, and a little dollop will do you for your entire body!
e.l.f. Essential Glitter Mascara is just $2! Available in the four shades pictured, get a sheer touch of glitter on the lashes, that you can wear alone or layer over your favorite black mascara. This is certainly a fun and novel statement for a bachelorette party or glam night out, without breaking the bank one bit!
