Fashion Pulse Flash

It’s been a busy, but awesome week over here at Fashion Pulse Daily! I’m thrilled to share a few other places you can find me, and FPD this week: in the November print edition of Health Magazine, quoted on The Luxury Spot and Vogue.com, and my first full feature on how to make your fragrance last on Today.com! I hope you enjoy checking them out just as much I did being a part of them!

Now, onto more exciting products, in this week’s Fashion Pulse Flash edition: from nail polish to Nautica, I bounced all over town this week to see and try the latest items, bringing the greatest ones to you now.

NuanceNailGroup

Have you tried Nuance Salma Hayak yet? If not…start with the nail lacquer, please! I’ve tried a few shades before, but just got my mitts on the lineup of 13 new hues, and I’ve got to tell you: the formula, dry time, and the price are a win all around! Available at CVS and on CVS.com for $5.99 each, you’ll find a shade that suits your needs and occasion, from a deeper red to a metallic or two and some lovely blue options too (my personal favorite). All nail lacquer includes borage seed oil to add nourishment and shine, with bamboo and vitamins found in the base and top coats. And the names? All heavenly: White Jasmine, Petal Pearl, In Bloom, Lush Lavender, Moonbeam, Black Caviar, Wild Orchid, Red Ginger, Sea Glass, Tropical Jade, Blue Agave, Coral Reef, and Desert Sand.

nautica 2014

I hung out with my friends over at Nautica, and was reminded of the great gift giving options available, ESPECIALLY for him, who can be the hardest one to shop for. Items included sunglasses, watches, scarves, hats gloves, money clip, wallets, cologne, pajamas, and cozy sweaters. Shop online at Nautica.com for all things for the Nautica lady, or head to Macy’s for some Nautica guys finds.

Varleine intensive care advanced repair

Vaseline sure knows how to treat a lady; I get a cup with my “name” on it, Vaseline-logoed marshemellows, Godiva hot chocolate, AND the new Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Fragrance Free lotion; it’s hard to decide which one of those four I’m most excited about! Let’s talk about the Vaseline — for under $5 (for a 10 oz bottle), you get super fast drying/absorbing, effective lotion that uses micro-droplets of Vaseline jelly to rapidly seep in and hydrate the skin’s inner layers. Using it regularly, you can notice a difference in very dry skin in about five days, and heal the skin completley within three weeks. With winter approaching, even normal skin can get dry, so it’s great to start your moisturizing routine now. I will be keeping mine desk side, so that I can prevent my hands from getting them dried out from washing WAY before it even has a chance to happen! Being scent-free it’s also the perfect “office lotion” as the scent will by no means be overpowering to anybody nearby. It’s currently available at mass, food, and drug retailers nationwide.

target holiday
target faux fur vest
Attending Target’s holiday 2014 event got the ideas flowing for gifts for the entire family, but I couldn’t help noticing there were a lot of items that…I wanted for myself! From the limited edition art deco-ish “All that Jazz” makeup brush sets from Sonia Kashuk to a Sam & Libby oversized tote, I think I would be operating on a “one for mom, one for me” mentality!

Above are some of the items for the event that I loved, including some great gift giving ideas such as cool vases, holiday head gear, like the candy cane headband ($10), designed by Chris March and additionally I spotted some toys for the pup and the kiddos, like the Zoomer Dino Snaptail robot, which I hear is going to be HUGE this holiday season. I can’t forget to mention TOMS for the whole family, from shoes to iPad cases. Want to know what will be huge for me? Faux fur vests, and guess what? Target has that too!
