Ever discover a product that you never knew you needed, but once you have it, you can’t live without it? What about, for those beer aficionados out there, the combination of a bottle opener and watch?
Created in 2007, the Happy Hour watch does just that with a patented buckle that lets you enjoy some style and beer at the same time. Here’s me testing it out – I really liked the clean face and arms of the watch, and since mens watches for women is a trend these days, sporting an oversized watch on my wrist didn’t look too out of place.
On game day, I grabbed a classic American beer, along with a slice of pizza and settled in for the Steelers game. As you can see from the photo, I had the bottle at too severe of an angle, and splash! Got dripped on a bit, but then again, I was trying to get some good ‘action’ slow-mo photos -the proper technique is to make sure the bottle is upright and to remove the cap quickly. But, practice makes perfect – next time at a party when someone tries to pull the ‘lighter’ trick to open a bottle, I’ll insist they put that archaic, rudimentary bottle opening device back into their pocket from whence it came, and watch my skills as in one practiced, sleek motion, I unveil a delectable bottle of brew. My style, the Dark ‘N’ Stormy, can be purchased through Happy Hour’s website for $69.95 – a great holiday gift for a guy, or anybody willing to give up using pocket-sized objects that really shouldn’t be opening beer bottles.
