today, February 4th-February 17th, I’d love for you to stop by the
Sony Store in Manhattan (550 Madison Avenue between 55th and 55th Streets) to check out my photo exhibit! As part of
The Hidden 212 Project with Sony, I chronicled almost a month in my life from a behind-the-scenes perspective of a writer/blogger/all around die-hard fashionista living and working in New York City. Using an incredible
NEX-5R camera courtesy of Sony, my images range from exclusive showroom previews and flagship store fetes to new product launch parties, rubbing elbows with designers and celebrities. I couldn’t help but also mix in some of my favorite local shops and eateries along the way!
PLUS –if you print out a photo of my exhibit (found on FPD’s social networks) and show it at the register at the NYC store, you will get a free PROFORMA CASE with any NEX camera purchase.
I hope you’ll stop in and check out the exhibit, and in the meanwhile, you can follow along on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook with the hashtags #sony212 and #sonystore!

Last week I attendcd the launch for the new juniors line L’Amour Nanette Lepore for jcpenney at the cool underground spot Good Units at the Hudson Hotel. The collection just became available in stores and online, and features an array of bouncy neon dresses, sheer tops with cut-out details, floral prints, blinged out shorts, sequined tanks, and more. Shop the line now at jcpenney, which ranges in price from $17-$50.

During the month of February we see hearts and the color red everywhere we turn, but in the world of fashion these staples take on a different meaning. Now in its 11th year, The Heart Truth campaign is continuing to make efforts in their mission of raising awareness for heart disease in women with its annual Red Dress Collection fashion show on February 6th. Previous shows have featured celebrities such as Gloria Estefan, Rebecca Romijn and Heidi Klum walking the runway in red gowns created by renowned designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa, Jason Wu and many more. Through the support of Hollywood and the fashion world, the Red Dress has become a recognizable symbol in the fight against heart disease and has aided in the organization’s goal of educating and encouraging women to lead a healthier lifestyle and to take earlier action to reduce their risk of heart disease.

From our friends at thefind.com:
The next winter Olympics may still be a full year away, but while we wait, we can get ready for the festivities by reaping the benefits of the latest athletic-inspired trend – skater dresses! Inspired by the sporty-feminine silhouette of an ice skater uniform, the skater dress is defined by its fitted bodice, flouncy skirt, and how-high-can-you-go hemline, which make this trend flirty, feminine, fun, and easy to wear. From rocker-chic faux leather and winter-friendly sweater dresses to spring-ready prints, this trend is transition-friendly enough to work for multiple seasons, day-to-night occasions, and a variety personal styles depending on your choice of accessories. Plus, if you were like me and dressed up as Nancy Kerrigan for Halloween in 1st grade (guilty!), this trend is your second chance at perfecting the look, embarrassment-free!
