Do you remember your first piece from The Limited? I do — it was a red and white striped tank top…actually from the tween/teen version of the brand, The Limited Too! Several generations of women have worn The Limited over the years, from the signature Forenza waffle knits to the chic work wear and suiting. In honor of the brands 50th Anniversary, The Limited is giving even more women the opportunity to wear its clothing and feel good while doing so with a special initiative to support Dress for Success, a nonprofit that you are probably already familiar (gives professional apparel, support and career development tools to women who are entering or re-entering the work force).
In order to give money to dress for success, The Limited needs YOU! The Limited is asking that you share your success stories/life lessons (both personally and professionally online at their specially designated site, www.thelimited.com/50th., where $1 will be donated to Dress for Success for every story told, up to $50,000. I just told my story, and let me know if you can find it; hint: I answered the question “Tell us which achievement you are most proud of.”
The brand will also give 30% of the proceeds from a limited edition clutch and a commemorative bracelet that will debut this fall.
Last, a social media campaign will soon go live, allowing consumers to select the ultimate celebration dress design they would like to see in stores as well as where the culminating 50th birthday celebration will take place (stay tuned for this; in the meanwhile, follow The Limited on Facebook and Twitter) – plus you can enter the giveaway right NOW for a chance to win a $50 gift card to The Limited (scroll to the bottom of the page)!
