Even though they have been highly successful, customers may have begun to grow tired and weary of design collaborations; not to say that the moment has past, but perhaps seeking out a break in the cyclical deliveries and routine that has come to be expected couldn’t be a bad thing. As if on cue, Target has come up with a concept I’d like to call a ‘partnershop;’ for a limited time with limited-edition products, five shop owners of specialty stores and boutiques have created special merchandise just for the retailer, almost like a ‘shop-in-shop’ idea, that debuts on May 6th at all Target stores and Target.com.
The five categories and stores featured include Privet House of Connecticut (home), Cos Bar of Aspen (beauty) polkadogbakery of Boston (pet), the candy store of San Fransisco (food), and The Webster of Miami (apparel, accessories, footwear). In total, 400 exclusive products have been created, ranging in price from $1-$159.99. Click on the slide show above to preview some of the merch that will be available!
