The Show: Burberry Prorsum Spring 2013
The Theme: Everything luxe- from lace trenches to shiny fuchsia shantung silks varieties.
The Color Palette: Khaki, cream, and jewel tones.
Best/Collection’s Signature Standout Look: Full length and tiny capelets with form-fitting bodices underneath defined a new silhouette for spring 2013, bedecked in solid and super subtle ombrè shades. Tiny over-layers that crop at the bustline also were eye catching and will easily help to move the waistline even higher for the upcoming season!
P.S. – watch the video of the show, here!
The Show: Anya Hindmarch Spring 2013
The Theme: Inspirations were “an old music box, a Wurlitzer organ, and a two-dimensional pop-up book.”
The Color Palette: Autumn-hued neutrals, putty, mint, lemon yellow.
Best/Collection’s Signature Standout Look: Seeing is believing, as this was the most innovative handbag display ever seen by FPD (click n the pic above to watch the 2-minute clip of the show). Hindmarch sure knows classic yet stylish bag design, and all of these beauties were great testament to her skill. A favorite was the pale green flap over style (pictured above).
The Show: Mulberry Spring 2013
The Theme: Letting pronounced luxury back into our way of shopping and dressing.
The Color Palette: Orange, cream, navy, key lime.
Best/Collection’s Signature Standout Look: Most pieces were given a rich dose of silk found through wovens best described as chinoiserie. A new, baggier silhouette was the look for motorcycle jackets, while bags ranged from sturdy, solid-hued leather structure to soft and fluid, decorate to the nines remakes of popular styles.
