There was certainly no shortage of sparkle and drama on the runway when it came to eveningwear for fall/winter 2015. True, the fall season can be more subdued, however this season was a masterful display of opulence, well equipped for the red carpet and worthy of a walk up the stairs to the podium to claim the award of all awards at the Oscars. In a season when more is more, accents that provided great movement, such as tassels, fringe, and feathers were popular choices as well as the return of voluminous, princess gown silhouettes, while filmy, transparent layers push the limit even further with what they reveal.
As far as hues go for evening, the ombré effect has made a rather surprising return this season, coupled with vibrant yellows, dove grey, winter white, purples, and even black was a dominant shade, permeating many designers’ collections.
