Day 5 – Valentine’s Day — but not for us fashionistas! It’s okay – that just means my boyfriend has even more time to prepare something spectacular, when we celebrate over the weekend, right? I guess it was in my subconscious, as I didn’t even intend to wear red today, but people get pointing it out-oops! I love this color on me the orangey red, that really pops on camera (I was doing video segments for most of the day, more to come about that soon!), plus it’s never too harsh against my pale skin, blonde hair, and light eyes. Pictures taken above are all from backstage – lots of running around, securing interviews, and learning! My very talented friend, Jen Paelmo did my hair and makeup for this day – thanks Jen!

I mean really, what other jewelry would you wear? I prefer jewelry with a bit of an edge to it, so MiMi by Sorrelli is totally my style for V-Day, and everyday. In this Polyvore collage I made, I paired my Sorrelli jewelry with a Proenza Schouler dress, Christian Louboutin pumps, and a Mulberry bag. Click on the collage to view, and maybe even buy, my V-Day outfit picks!

Well, not the pair I ACTUALLY wore, but a brand new one, just for you! As previously mentioned, I wear Sorrelli a lot, especially, the new, younger, and lower-priced line MiMi, and New York Fashion Week was now exception. From Fashion’s Night Out fun to interviewing key hair and makeup artists and designers, I almost always was adorned with Sorrelli! Here are my favorite items from the newest collection, and THREE lucky winners will win one of the three items below!
MiMi by Sorrelli Suspended Metallic Crescent Drop Earrings (retails for $57.20)
MiMi by Sorrelli Art Deco Drop Earring With Crystals (retails for $66) and
Chain Link Overlay Ring (retails for $55)
RULES of ENTRY:
1) Either ‘Like’ Sorrelli on Facebook or follow @fashionpulse on Twitter (if you’re not already doing so) — write in the comments section which one you did, and if it’s twitter, you’re twitter handle (Example: ‘Hey I’m following you on twitter – my handle: @janedoe’)
2) Tell us in the comments “Which of the three pieces of MiMi by Sorrelli jewelry is your favorite!”
3) USA entrants only, one entry per person, must be 18 or older.
Good luck!
**Contest ends on Wednesday, October 6th, 2010 at 11:59pm. The winners will be selected using Random.org.

Usually I try to avoid any New York Fashion Week outfit changes at ALL costs, but with accidentally sleeping through my alarm and an 8am backstage call time, I didn’t have much time to get all gussied up for the entire day! Staying comfy and stylish for New York Fashion week on Day #2 included:
I had a shawl in my bag for weather fluctuations (you never know!) And for Fashion’s Night Out, I decide to gussy p a bit!
- Makeup Application, compliments of Lindsey from Bobbi Brown
- Kushyfoot tights, compliments of Kushyfoot (they have massage treads on the bottom – how divine!)
- Nicole Miller dress, from RenttheRunway.com (more to come about this later)
- Faux leather cream jacket by JouJou, from T.J. Maxx
- Same Sorrelli jewelry as worn for the day
- Calvin Klein Patent Leather Wedges
The Sorreli jewelry was the perfect transition from my day to night look, and my bag, although on the rather large side, was still on-trend and matched the colors in my ‘evening look’ to make it work.
More New York Fashion Week looks to come soon, plus a chance to win my Sorrelli jewelry!
