Since the 1950s, Kork-Ease has been THE brand for cork wedges, and with its new Mid-Century Mama collection for Spring 2013, it is continuing that tradition of creating comfortable, chic sandals that everyone can easily love. Go bright with buckled straps of orange, red, and purple, or go natural with earth tones of brown or beige in styles that range from strappy wedges to flip flops. Even if you can’t make it to the beach this summer, these wedge sandals will make you feels as though you are walking the wooden boardwalk instead of the concrete sidewalk. For the sake of your summer wardrobe, this is one hot accessory that you won’t want to refuse.

H. H. Brown Footwear for Spring 2013
Visiting the showroom at H.H. Brown recently, I made a mental ‘wanted’ list of every style that I must have for spring from the company’s brands, including Børn, Söft, Kork-Ease, Walk-Over Shoes, Vintage Shoe Company, and Isolá. Which style is your favorite? Too bad we have to wait until the spring merchandise rolls out to buy these amazing styles, but it will well-indeed be worth the wait! I’m most excited about the new Made in America embellished wedge styles by Kork-Ease, and the new women’s offerings from Vintage and Walk-Over. See some of my favorites via the slideshow above .

A Dash of Retro Style on a Summer Night
Retro-casual silhouettes and fabrications, like flared, faded denim, open gauge crochet tops, and criss-cross kork wedges, meet contemporary pieces with statement jewelry, a silken tank, and flashes of bright hues on fingers and toes. I love wearing tried and true items from decades past, but wearing them in a way that my mom never did! On this particular summer evening, it was essential to be layered for indoor and outdoor options since once the sun goes down, goosebumps on bare skin are fair game. Some summer nights get downright brisk, so a long sleeve top of some sort and jeans can ward off the chilly breeze, while keeping the sandals from earlier in the day still in play. How do you dress for summer nights?
