I’ve always been a fan of T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, and have picked up some AMAZING pieces dirt cheap such as this jumper I wore to Fashion 2.0 ($16.99) , hilarious floor-cleaning slippers, and countless other items I have yet to photograph! I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the increasingly high-end labels I’ve found on the shelves and in the racks, ranging from Valentino and Ferragamo to Poleci and Diane von Furstenberg. While my Mom was in town visiting, we went to check out the brand new T.J. Maxx at 57th and 8th Avenue in NYC. There we discovered some great pieces by Valentino, See by Chloe, and BB Dakota. My pick was this buttery soft pale grey jacket with folds that fell in all the right places. I also love to check out all of the socks and hosiery, as I always find some funky and fabulous Betsey Johnson items as well as staples by brands like Hue and Ellen Tracy. Mom perused the home decor and holiday offerings with cutesy ornaments, candles, knick knacks, and table décor. Some of my holiday gift suggestions you can get on the cheap at T.J.’s or Marshalls are: wool socks (for him or her), luxe bath products, gourmet food, and brand name beauty appliances such as hair dryers, curling and straightening irons. Happy Holidays, and happy shopping!
[A Valentino jacket hangs on the same rounder as a See by Chloe Blouse (price range, $300 and $200, respectively)]
[A Valentino jacket in its signature red, $500, hangs next to a $24.99 sweater – love it! Only at T.J.’s]
[Mom oohing and ahhing over the holiday items]
[My takeaway, this BB Dakota jacket ($80) – tres chic!]
Disclosure: T.J.Maxx/Marshalls gave me a $50 gift card to shop the store.
