The Sorel Medina Rain Heel, $200, is my new go-to (also available in the hue cabernet) and I think I actually may cease all complaining when it rains, thanks to this stylish, sleek, and functional pair of rain-heels! As you can see from the pics, these boots offer a streamlined design with a simple clasp, waterproof rubber upper and heel, a felt lined collar, and Sorel nameplate on the back. All of Sorel’s fall styles recently launched, featuring fab detail and color updates to favorite styles, with some completely new silhouettes added into the mix (I’m loving the Chipahko Felt and Wicked Workboot Tall styles).
Plus, have you seen the Fall 2012 Campaign, “Get Your Boots Dirty,” yet? It’s a campaign that celebrates women who make the world a more interesting place, featuring Leila Janah (wearing the Conquest Carly boots), founder and CEO of Samasource, a non-profit that creates jobs for people living in poverty, over the internet. How inspirational! Check out her TED Talk, and I think it’s a reminder of how lucky we are, and that we all can make an impact in this world –so what are we waiting for? Let’s go out there and get’s our boots dirty!
