AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie
The Carrie Bradshaw we know and love has been played by none other than Sarah Jessica Parker for years. Yet, the first official photo of the new, young Carrie Bradshaw has been released! AnnaSophia Robb will be starring in The CW‘s new pilot The Carrie Diaries, and she has some tough Manolo Blahniks to fill!
The Carrie Diaries writer/executive producer Amy B. Harris is confident in Robb’s ability. She said, “When AnnaSophia Robb walked into the room, we knew we had found her. Her grace, intelligence, sense of fun and her empathetic nature make her the perfect girl to bring our young Carrie to life. The fact that she loves a gorgeous pair of heels doesn’t hurt either.”
We’re excited to see how the quirky Carrie will navigate the concrete jungle of 1980’s NYC as she conquers her first questions about love, sex and friendship. What’s more, Eric Daman (of Sex and the City and Gossip Girl, amongst other collabs) will be the costume designer. We’re anticipating reworked tutus and headpieces galore, come the debut of the show in fall 2012!

Love the full skirt with 2 inches of petticoat showing. Looks very feminine that will suit fashion divas and those in the know. Patterns are really at work in the selection here of modern punk for the dress and animal skin with a wild green background. Think I would pick a different sweater or a red blazer to have the color pop.
