It appears that even Versace is fearful of the recession, with a dramatically toned-down pre-fall 2009 collection. There were a number of Grecian-inspired, red-carpet frocks, however my eyes were immediatly drawn to this rather mod, practical dress. It goes from sweet, to attitude-heavy with the over-the-knee pirate boots, but I love that its dress that comes from Versace that could 100% work to wear during the day. The neckline and waist detailing give an ever so slight mod-bondage feel, but otherwise, it could work in corporate America (sans the boots, of course – replace with some round-toe pumps or riding boots).
