Call it what you will, but the midi/knuckle/pinkie-sized ring is HUGE these days! Keeping the band relatively thin with stackable capabilities tend to be the best way to present them to the world, in my humble opinion. I have a penchant toward gold rings, but chose the hue according to what works best alongside your skin tone.
Sizing can be tricky as well, but generally if it fits your pinky finger, then it should be perfect as a midi ring, OR half your normal ring size to get a good midi fit. Another option is to look for rings with an adjustable band so that you can customize the sizing for each digit. I am pleased to report that there are also plenty of HIGHLY affordable sets that offer a trio of midi rings and sometimes even regular-sized rings to accompany them, placed lower on your fingers, of course.
Let your hands look even more amazing when displaying them by rubbing in a moisturizer with a brightening component or great luminescent lotion (and don’t forget the cuticles too!), such as Jane Iredale’s Golden Shimmer Face and Body Lotion, which actually has diamond dust (a mineral pigment derived from Mica; the product launches in May) to add a soft shimmer.
And finally, what to pair it/them with: for dressier occasions still wear a midi, but keep it to one or two, and simple; no ornate jewels or designs. Depending on your work situation, they may be appropriate, and always “midi it up” on the weekends! Remember that they may restrict some activities like typing or glove-wearing, so it’s always a good idea to carry a small soft pouch to store them in, since being so tiny, they can easily get lost!
