This week I attended the exciting launches of Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Collection and Visible Difference Skincare regimen which came out this month. Held in the gorgeous terrace of the Red Door Spa, I learned that the Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Collection, comprised of both singles (32 total shades, $18.50) and duos ( s$28.50) not only are incredible colors and crease-proof, but also include skincare! Vitamin A minimizes the look of fine lines and wrinkles while Vitamins C and E neutralize free radicals from destroying skin cells in the sensitive eye area.
The new Visible Difference Skincare regimen is customized to your skin (oily, combination or dry) with products to cleanse, tone, treat, and moisturize. Since my skin is dry, am perfect for the Gentle Hydrating Regimen that removes dirt and impurities so that it’s easier for the skin to retain and absorb moisture. There are also some additional skin treatments that can be used, regardless of your custom kit such as brightening eye gel, eye cream, masks, and primer. After testing these products, women saw a difference within six days – now that’s remarkable!
You can purchase all Elizabeth Arden products, including the new ones mentioned above now at department stores nationwide and at ElizabethArden.com.

It’s taken about 20 years, but the neon trend has come back with a strong burst, and there’s no denying that one cannot possibly feel glum and wallow while wearing a neon garment or accessory. Color popularity can be tied in with the state of the economy, so what does neon say about the state of affairs today? I think, for one, people need something effortless in their lives to provide vibrancy and smiles, and neon easily help that get checked off of the list with gusto. Continue reading…

Launching worldwide and online this week (Saturday, July 21st to be exact), LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics takes a step in a colorful direction with the launch of Emotional Brilliance, which bases which colors you should wear on your current psychological needs. Stop in a LUSH location to spin the Emotional Brilliance Color Wheel, and select the three colors that most stand out to you; each color is associated with a symbolic word — the first is your strength or weakness, the second is your subconscious need, and the third is your talent to fulfill your subconscious need. Marchesa presents Resort 2013, a collection inspired by delightful childhood memories of an English garden party. While you may not have been attending elegant soirées, you can certainly envision the free imagination and larger-than-life looks of the collection. Colorful cocktail dresses and long evening gowns find a companion in delicate, lightweight tea-length coats. Playful tulle and and laser-cut lace seem faultlessly aligned with mother of pearl accents. Divergent tones of fuchsia and blue with ivory and rose add an element of depth to this enchanting vision of a garden party, a party I’d certainly like to attend!
Alongside the collection, Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig will debut a complementary collection of their signature handbags. Day-to-evening bags are structured in vivid exotics, and delicately embellished crystal miniaudieres and envelope clutches remain true to evening wear.
