Calypso St. Barth
These breezy fabrics and flowing designs will have everyone itching to escape on an island getaway. Influenced by the vibrant colors and patterns of Marrakesh, Calypso St. Barth takes their famously beachy style to an exotic extreme. The incorporation of rosy coral, desert orange, and palm green give the collection a sense of excitement and adventure, while the hamman white, icy silver and navy compliments make the looks chic and classic.

Tracy Reese
Inspired by the landscapes of artist David Hockney, Reese’s Spring 2013 collection features a variety of natural hues, including foliage-inspired greens, cool blues, lilacs, and tangerines. These rich colors are paired with neutrals creating a powerful contrast. The juxtaposition continues as Reese couples soft fabrics with structured pieces. The organic colors and laid-back fabrics create an easy-going vibe, while the structured design and bold accessories make the look sophisticated and edgy.
Pamella Roland
The harsh geometric shapes and bold colors of Ellsworth Kelly’s iconic works are reflected perfectly in Pamella Roland’s Spring 2013 collection. The sharp lines and angles give the pieces an exciting energy that is contrasted with the effortlessness of the long, flowing skirts.

Rebecca Taylor
As if we weren’t nostalgic for summer already, Rebecca Taylor’s spring line has us wishing we re-located to Hawaii, and are currently soaking in the sun. Bleached denim and frangipani prints make this collection perfect for relaxed sunset gatherings and cocktails on the beach.

[Red Door hair stations]
I’ve been to Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas throughout my life, both in Pittsburgh and New York, and have never been disappointed with the services received. Hair, however, is a category that I’ve never tried out, and courtesy of the spa & salon, I received a complimentary cut. The opulent setting of the salon was clean, minimalist, and comfortable, with an illuminated space overlooking NYC’s Fifth Avenue. The hair washing chairs blew me away; they had the capability to completely recline to almost a sleeper-like status, and also massaged your back as you got washed – nice!
[The washing station – with those AMAZING chairs!]
Billy Williams was my amicable and absolutely genius stylist, who totally got my hair misgivings, maintenance level (low), and goal (long but not completely void of volume). He artfully and carefully trimmed to clean my split ends while boosting my style and texture quotient. Growing out my bangs is a pain that I will have to bear a little longer, but Billy suggested taming my cowlick in the front with some hair spray so that the bangs maintain their sideswept shape throughout the day. It makes SO much sense – I wish I had thought of it before!
Overall, an A+ experience; check out the Red Door Spa Locator to find a location near you, and see my before and after pics!
