The idea of spreading peace and love is truly more important than ever now, and in search of it via the medium of art, spa owner and all-around nail superstar Jin Soon Choi came across Chris Riggs, an NYC artist who just so happens to explicitly create these motifs via heart shapes and writing out the words “love” and “peace” in his work.

Presenting Coffee, the Osaka Way
For most, coffee is a lifeline, and admittedly I’m no different than all of those other java-addicted folks out there. On the weekends, I elevate my coffee experience by making it pour-over style, which takes more time than plopping in a pod and pressing a button, but the taste pay-off is well worth the extra time, which all in all, is just a couple of minutes.
Recently, my pour-over, and really, brew-accessories go-to has been Osaka Coffee, who believes that the making and drinking experience should be special, and upholds the Japanese mantra of balancing aesthetics and performance, which can be quite enthralling to experience when done properly. The brand makes gorgeous coffee brewers, like my Pour-Over Coffee Station in Wood (pictured; $69.99), as well as a Cold Brew Dripper, Stovetop Espresso Maker, a French Press, and the incredibly cool Siphon Coffee Maker. I love the pour-over option as it not only looks modern and beautiful sitting on my kitchen counter, but also is so practical – I don’t need to buy filters for it, and the multiple cup 20 oz capacity glass carafe it comes with is resistant to thermal shock and doesn’t take in any odors, chemicals or residue.
If you are a little nervous about making coffee manually via one of these brewers, have no fear; it’s already been taken care of for you! Osaka has a coffee calculator on the site which, based on your preferences of cup quantity and strength, tells you exactly how much water and coffee to use. Pretty easy right?
The brand also offers storage solutions and accessories, like a vaccuum-sealed canister (pictured; $24.99-$29.99), kettles, a thermometer, and even ceramic or glass mugs. For the coffee enthusiast or connoisseur, I’m now a believer that Osaka Coffee will thoughtfully take you down the proper path to supreme java bliss.

Beauty Tuesday: Dove Shower Foam
Speaking from experience as someone who has never been a morning person and probably never will be, being able to cut out “getting ready” steps and save time in the a.m. is essential. Say bah-bye to the lather step thanks to the brand new Dove Shower Foam, a lightweight formula that comes out of the self-foaming pump ready for application. The first of its kind from the brand, it still delivers all that you’ve come to expect from Dove, such as its gentle formula and NutriumMoisture ingredient blend that both nourishes and hydrates, and seeps into the surface skin up to 10 layers deep. The lovely lather quickly saturates the skin and rinses away, while the 13.5 oz bottle’s teardrop shape hardly takes up any space in the shower, which is key if you’re a shower product junkie like me.
Retailing for $5.97, you can already choose between four options – Deep Moisture, Sensitive Skin, Cucumber & Green Tea Scent, and Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla Scent. You’ll find the Dove Shower Foam at mass food and drug retailers where other Dove products are sold, such as Target.
