The idea of spreading peace and love is truly more important than ever now, and in search of it via the medium of art, spa owner and all-around nail superstar Jin Soon Choi came across Chris Riggs, an NYC artist who just so happens to explicitly create these motifs via heart shapes and writing out the words “love” and “peace” in his work.
Working with Riggs, who combines cubism, abstract, surrealism, minimalism, pop and street art in his work, Choi created four shades for her JINsoon Nail Polish spring collection that include Riggs’ signature shades found in his street art, aptly named Love, Peace, Hope, and Grace (from left to right).
Choi also launches her first-ever nail decals with this collection, dubbed Nail Décor, in which she directly incorporates Riggs’ artwork through the appliques. Made of 100% nail polish, each one includes the brand’s signature 5-free formulation, plus a built-in base, color, and top coat. I love when multiple mediums, like the worlds of beauty and art, combine to create blockbuster products, and even better if I can make them colorfully come to life through my own application with very little effort exuded!
The 5-free JINsoon Nail Polish retails for $18 each, while the Nail Décor is $12 per packet, available at JINsoon Hand & Foot Spas, SpaceNK, Barney’s, jinsoon.com, SpaceNK.com, SaksFifthAvenue.com, Nordstrom.com, Barneys.com, and NetaPorter.com.
