There’s an entire category of carefully constructed, gorgeous jewels that we’ve been neglecting: the brooch!
After seeing the
Jewels by JAR exhibit at The Met and realizing some of the most original, hand-wrought pieces were the brooches, my ESP kicked in and
I predict that brooches will make a great comeback as a statement jewelry item. Let’s take for example, this current winter; we’re all decked out in sweaters and coats ALL of the time (unless you are lucky enough to live in a warmer climate), and let’s be honest here; dressing for in climate weather can be downright utilitarian and fashion-less. Adding a sparkly bauble here and there will add such a great statement to your winter look, that you’ll be a believer once the compliments start rolling in.

Our wedding was just wonderful, truly a dream come true, AND we had the BEST time! Over six months later, I’ve FINALLY gotten around to sharing some details and pictures! The fashion and beauty aspects of it are what I’d mainly like to highlight, and the pics below showcase my journey through the process, from the rehearsal dinner to the big day!

[We created a signature cocktail, called the “Joelia,” which came complete with basil, mint, and an organic, edible flower!]
[I received three of these crystallized “Bride” tank tops, and wore them to my bachelorette party and salon to have my hair done on the big day.]
[The day after our wedding, I had to capture our gorgeous flowers one last time.]
[I really loved my bouquet; the colors and texture were so complimentary to my style.]
