I don’t know about you, but I get SO much anxiety when it comes to packing for a trip, and when activities are planned that may require getting wet or sweating, I am at a total loss. There are some styles that I have begun to wear over and over again for the ease of the fabric as well as the comfort and versatility of pairing them with a bunch of different items. This past week I spent five days in Portland, Oregon, and while I was moving swiftly through the airport, hiking on an Oregon trail, and at Cannon Beach on the coast, I noticed that looks each day had one major thing in common — most of the pieces worn were from Athleta!

I am staunchly an “anti-shorts” person, so lightweight pant options are a definite must, and one of my absolute favorite pairs is pictured above.
The important thing to remember when packing is that stretch and layers are your friends! Footwear is determined by your needs, but I usually keep a rotation of four pairs on a summer trip — hard core sneakers, casual canvas ones, flat, comfy sandals, and a low wedge “going out” option.
