Hello friends! Happy Friday!! I have a few quick tidbits of info for you on this lovely final weekday and intro to the month of August, that will hopefully help to start off the weekend right! Today is the final day of teaching Fashion Blogging Boot Camp at LIM College for the summer, however I will be back in the fall with another section of the course – stay tuned!

I grew up surrounded by Neutrogena products, always finding a massive bottle of Rain Bath tub side, so as I age (yikes!) it’s great to know that a trusted brand grows with my new skin care needs. Enter the Rapid Wrinkle Repair line,
which aims to brighten skin and reduce wrinkles in as little time as a week, featuring a specially formulate combination of retinol SA, glucose complex, and hyaluronic acid. The four complimentary products include the Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum, Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30, Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer, and Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream, and as expected, the price per product is EXTREMELY reasonable just what you would expect from Neutrogena, at just $20.99 each. All products are available through Neutrogena.com, and at mass food, drug, and beauty retailers nationwide.

I’m a summer person through and through, however the knits are so cozy and the styles so comfortable that I think I could get used to cold weather dressing! Last week I attended AEO and aerie‘s holiday previews, and can report back a solid assortment of oversized sweaters, ponchos, artfully frayed boyfriend jeans, and moto-style jackets accompanied by great booties, boho-inspired jewelry, tongue-in-cheek beanie hats, and the ultimately plush, gargantuan scarves.
From Aerie, expect great cozy pjs (with pockets!), roomy waffle knits, versatile bra options from delicate lace bralettes to the Charley, an adjustable racer back push-up, and holiday gift set ornament balls that include panties and socks.
Stay on the look out for these holiday deliveries from AEO and aerie once that crisp fall weather hits the air!

They say the spikier the jewelry…the cooler the look. Well, not exactly; nobody says that, that I know of, however, I think that this recently spotted trend may be indicating that it’s actually true! It’s come to my attention that the stud trend in jewelry is moving from a clear cut triangle shape that comes together to make a square to more of an elongated, conical one, and it feels like a logical, and stylish, progression.
Count me in, and you can find a variety of styles from bracelets and rings to earrings and necklace at a variety of price points, with my selections (see links below) starting out at $10. Enjoy finding the piece that you’ll love, and in the meanwhile, if you think of a better name for this trend than ” Super Pointy Pyramid Jewelry,” please do make a suggestion in the comment box below!

The Dermalogica Hydro-Active Mineral Salts is just what your skin has been asking for this summer, in both soak and scrub form. Made without any artificial fragrances and colors, this slightly beige colored, sea salt-based item travels easily and offers a reprieve for tired feet when you tap some into warm water to create a soothing spa pedi soak. You can also dampen it in your hands to make a paste, then add a little oil (essential, body, or even olive oil!) to create a luxurious scrub for tough areas such as heels, knees or elbows, or as a little pre-shave treatment on your legs. Indulge on a full on bath while sprinkling some of the salts under the running water, relax, and enjoy!
The Dermalogica Hydro-Active Mineral Salts are $28 for the 10 oz tube or $36 for a 12-pack, available at Dermalogica.com and fine spa, salons, and retailers that carry the brand.
