It’s mind-boggling to think of how multi-million-dollar designer empires all started with something as humble and simple as a sketch in a notepad, and for Oliver Peoples’ founder and creative director Larry Leight, one of those vintage sketches was the perfect way to represent and celebrate 25 years of stylish success. Yes, believe it or not, the eyewear empire has been serving up sunnies, frames, and fashionable everyday glasses for a whopping 25 years now, and in order to celebrate a quarter century of stunning optical style, the brand has released a limited-edition XXV collection, inspired by one of Larry Leight’s earliest sketches from 1989 – just two years after the brand’s launch. The XXV frames have a vintage feel with its thick frames and padded temple design, but adds modern details like custom engraving and silver hardware to complete the look. Available in both optical and sun versions, the XXV collection comes in a variety of tortoise designs, tiger patterns, as well as several solid shades – just make sure to scoop up your favorite before they’re all gone!
