The Show: Lyn Devon Fall 2013
The Theme: Upstate Cozy & Ladylike
“Upstate” was the buzzword used to describe the inspiration behind her fall 2013 collection. Devon added cozy sweaters, and menswear inspired oversized coats to illustrate a feeling of country life vs. city life.
Color Palette: The colors ranged from classic neutrals to vibrant pops of color like tangerine, lilac, and teal all in luxurious fabrics like cashmere, angora, and herringbone.
Standout Piece of the Collection: The oversized “Husband” coat with vintage Bakelite brooches!
The Show: General Idea Fall/Winter 2013 Menswear
The Theme: Inspired by “(The Path to Buddha ) A Tibetan Pilgrimage” by Steve McCurry
The Color Palette: Neutral grey with cobalt blue color-blocking; camel with bright mandarine orange, and pops of cream and black.
The Signature, Standout Look: There was no shortage of great coats with color blocking or racing stripes, paired with quilted and stretch wool pants hit at the ankle to showcase bright blue or black slip-on sneakers. A favorite was an orange -belted car coat over black print pant.
