Last night was yet another magical night, dinner with Kenneth Cole, to which I was invited via the arrival of the new Bloggie Touch Camera, by Sony with a sticky note that said “Play Me – KC.” What appeared on the screen was a video from Kenneth Cole inviting me to dinner at Kenneth Cole Productions for dinner and to view the Spring 2011 collection – squeal! Inspired by the theme of ‘urban safari’ there was a heavy use of white, leather embossed exotic skins, animal and micro prints, and airy fabrics. Quote about the collection: “Through the rugged mountains, Saharan desert and into the tropical rain forest: The Spring 2011 collection tells the story of our global landscape which takes inspiration from the organic colors and textures inherent in nature, juxtaposed with a more urban,
utilitarian sensibility.” I loved the description, as well as the blood orange dress you can see peeking out of the picture above (also found below).

It was absolutely lovely to meet Kenneth, and his Creative Director, Ingo Wilts, and go on a walk-through of the collection. The three course meal was amazing, with a enclosed glass table full of beautiful elements found in nature. After the dinner, there was more mingling, oohing and awing ( I did a lot over a mauve bag), and of course, a flurry of Tweets, which appeared on a live board in the studio space. All in all, a fantastic evening indeed! Enjoy the photos below of the event, as well as some of myself with other blogger friends!
