The Show: Dennis Basso Spring/Summer 2013
The Theme: Glamorous seaside in the 60s
The Color Palette: Blush, champagne, pearl, shades of blue and sheer black with metallic accents
Best/Collection’s Signature Standout Look: Shown in the ideal setting of the rooftop at the St. Regis, the collection felt straight out of a fairytale. Any woman would feel like royalty in one of Dennis Basso’s gowns with the long tulle skirts and chinchilla fur wraps and vests. The intricate beading and feather embellishments only added to the luxury. The highlight look would have to be a champagne-colored hand embroidered ombré tulle gown with a sable fur and lace capelet – absolute perfection.

The Show: Alejandro Ingelmo
The Theme: Athletic sneakers and sleek stilettos
The Color Palette: Bright neons and mermaid metallic
Best/Collection’s Signature Standout Look: Alejandro Ingelmo did a complete 360 with his spring collection, swapping chunky, sensible heels for sexy stilettos, throwing in the ever-popular brightly colored sneakers. Each shoe was so unique its difficult to pick a standout look, but we fell head over heels in love with the metallic gold pointed toe stiletto with a geometric cut out heel. Simply genius

The Show: VLOV
The Theme: Tranquility and Stability
The Color Palette: Soothing Colors including stand, navy, black, and light blue
Best/Collection’s Signature Standout Look: Each of the menswear looks exuded effortless chic due to the use of crinkled silks and linens in neutral colors and sophisticated cuts. Linen jackets and blazers paired with shorts and leather sandals completed the serene feel of the collection, however, the showstopper was the finale look. Consisting ofa light orange blazer and matching pants paired with a white silk Hawaiian printed shirt, it was completely unexpected and entirely fabulous.
