Lucky Me, in the Sienna Cigarette Jean

[Saturday-ready in my new Lucky Brand Denim!]
Jeans and a t-shirt; sure, it’s nothing new.  But it can be fashioned to look dramatically different. My favorite combination is a great, on-trend denim silhouette that fits me perfectly and looks comfortable, paired with a high quality tee. In this instance, I’m wearing my new Sienna Cigarette Jeans, courtesy of Lucky Brand, with a tee from my organic, recycled, sustainable t-shirt line, Neighbor Teaze.

Denim is great for being both able to simultaneously tell a wardrobe story, AND sit and watch the look unfold while supporting the overall aesthetic perfectly. Lucky Brand provides a ‘denim democracy’, offering a fit for every body type; my biggest problem is fitting in the back, and as you can see (pictured above) – no waistband gaping or tooshie area sagging!

A flattering fit is essential when it comes to denim, but the wash is also crucial to getting the right look. Here, the hand-sanded medium Bystander wash is featured, which gave a nice worn but still crisp look, which has taken me about 10 years to get out of other pairs of denim. Adding a bit of wit and whimsy to the look, I paired my Vans canvas spectator sneakers with a neon yellow cardigan to bring in classic, street, and preppy elements.
