Sometimes we don’t stop and think about how many harsh chemicals we’re putting in our hair, and that there’s a better way of getting the job done, unless we’re presented with great natural solutions. Leonor Greyl, a natural haircare pioneer that has been around since 1968 offers eco-friendly, sodium laureth, sulfate free, paraben free, and silicone free products that don’t feel like, or smell like what we’re commonly used to using.
Take for example, the Lait Lavant A La Banane (Banana Milk Shampoo), $37; I recently tested it out, and the consistency comes out as a total liquid, almost with the texture of water, smelling of the exact name of the product. It fortifies all hair types, restoring bounce and body to fine hair, and certainly did the trick for me! It is a collagen derived gentle shampoo that contains banana tree sap & vegetable proteins that can be used in the shower on a daily basis.
The other item I tested was the Spray Structure Naturelle (Styling Spray), $38, filled with proteins, keratin and plant extracts as well as UV sunscreen, to protect, boost volume, moisture and shine. It is dispensed in more of a spritzy, atomizer, like dispersion, opposed to the aerosol blast of product we’re usually squirting onto our locks.
Although the price is more than what you’d pay for traditional, mass merchant hair care items, consider it more of a top tier product and an investment in the health and longevity of your hair; the organic food option for your tresses.
The full line of Leonor Greyl haircare can be purchased at leonorgreyl-usa.com or fine salons internationally as well as online at Folica.com.
