Around the end of July, I stretched my arm as far back as it would go into the depths of my closet, and pulled out a few pieces that were quietly biding their time, waiting patiently to be worn. In all honesty, somehow it had eclipsed my mind that they were there, which probably means I have too many items…
Nonetheless, if I don’t get to wearing them all at least twice before the summer ends, they are goners. It’s hard to execute military-like precision when eliminating items from my wardrobe, as I can pretty much rationalize anything, so I had to put some drastic measures in place in order to live a less cluttered, more manageable sartorial life. This dress was one of those items, and although I absolutely adore it and I have worn it in the winter, it was craving the sunlight to shine down upon its neon self. I’m glad I took it for a spin, and paired it with some darker hues (necklace) and thicker textures (suede) that forecast the season to come…
