Last night at the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards, honorees and winners alike celebrated the council’s 50th anniversary at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center. The evening is an ode to superior fashion, the industry’s best and fashion’s future innovators.

The Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award – Tommy Hilfiger (presented by Anna Wintour)
Womenswear Designer of the Year – Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen for The Row
Menswear Designer of the Year – Billy Reid
Accessory Designer of the Year – Reed Krakoff
The Swarovski Award for Womenwear – Joseph Altuzarra
The Swarovski Award for Menswear – Phillip Lim
The Swarovski Award for Accessory Design – Tabitha Simmons
Fashion Icon Award- Johnny Depp
