In honor of Skin Cancer Awareness Month (May) and Hat Attack‘s 30th birthday, I’m part of an initiative to promote safe skin care practices through the use of what else – a hat! I didn’t wear a hat when in South Beach a few weeks ago, and believe me when I tell you that my scalp was beet red. Protecting your skin, and your head from the sun’s powerful rays is extremely important, and not just for the fair-skinned sort, like me. In support of this cause, I’m wearing the Raffia Braid Fedora in tobacco compliments of Hat Attack, and as a bonus for the month of May, Hat Attack will donate 20% of their website sales from this particular hat style the Skin Cancer Foundation.
It’s pretty much a win-win situation; you protect yourself, while money goes toward the cause of protecting others. My hat, the Hat Attack Raffia Braid Fedora in tobacco, $78, will arrive just in time for summer picnics, BBQs, concerts, parties, and weekend getaways. Check out my pic on the site, as well as how the other 30 bloggers styled their Hat Attack hats.
