The Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer is on my beauty bucket list, but soon, I will be able to buy it and save almost 30% off of the retail price by keeping an extra $5 in my pocket, making the $18 nail lacquer purchase just $13. And it’s not my birthday, or a holiday, and I really didn’t do anything special to deserve it – I simply signed up for Bing Rewards and set a $5 Sephora eGift card as my goal! Since a Facebook account can be used to sign up for the rewards, I only entered its credentials once and am already making good headway at garnering those Sephora savings.
As my searching seems to earn me about six credits/2% per day toward this particular reward, that means that merely by just going about my daily business, I will have earned enough points for a $5 Sephora eGift Card in under two months. Since I shop at the beauty outpost WAY more than probably should, at this rate, I could be saving $30 this year alone on beauty products, just by using Bing for my daily search engine needs.
Here’s How You Get Awesome, Free Gift Cards:
Let me divulge a bit more about Bing Rewards: by using Bing (first sign up for the rewards account), all I do is continue along with my research or when I am curious about something, and can get free stuff as a result. Set a gift card as a goal, and see the progress you are gaining toward it in your dashboard. Other fashion and beauty-related retailers available include Amazon, RedEnvelope, and a Tango Card, which can be converted for use at stores including Nordstrom, Target, American Eagle Outfitters, Zappos, SpaFinder, REI, and more. That’s a win-win scenario, if I’ve ever heard one! If you’d rather donate your credits, money can instead be given to great charities and organizations such as Teach for America, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and Kids in Need.
There are also additional ways to earn points besides just searching; click on your “Notification Center” in your dashboard (see mine above; it is on the upper right, and looks just like a message bubble) to see all of the ways to earn additional credits, that are easy peasy, like looking at what’s trending now, the latest in movie news, and for friends that you’ve invited and have joined the rewards program. You will also garner additional points for setting as your main search engine and homepage.
Earn Bing Rewards From Your Smartphone
And just because I’m not glued to my desk 24/7 doesn’t mean I still can’t use Bing and earn points. With the Bing App, available on both the iOS and Windows Phone operating systems, I can search while on the go, which is actually the majority of the time. By using a Microsoft login (such as a Hotmail account), I can seamlessly gain access to my Bing account from my phone without having to tediously enter my vitals over and over again, and once in the app, I merely just search “Bing rewards” to log in so that the search engine can continue to track and rack up my credits toward gift cards.
Using the search on your phone is so awesome because multiple searches can be active at once (see above), and shrunken down to be recalled only when you need to peruse them again. It’s easy to also bookmark sites and save images, with options to email, text, or send them out to your social media networks as well. Bing’s highly visual, easily navigable homepage easily inspire and encourages searching; a good thing since the more you discover via Bing, the more you earn!
