Back in the 2000s, on the first season of “Project Runway” winner Jay McCarroll took the viewers breathe away with his styled runway looks that paired red-carpet worthy dresses with matching, hand sprayed headphones; what a dynamic look it was! Fast forward to 2012, and there’s been a surge in replacing those by and large, generic-looking ear buds with over sized, fashion forward headphones in a bevy of colors and prints.
Courtesy of Fanny Wang, I don’t have to do any DIYing of headphones, ala McCarroll, to make them look great with my outfit. On a casual Sunday afternoon, the headphones made their way out of the apartment and onto the front stoop, where I plugged them into my iPhone to take in the sunny day while listening to my favorite jams.
The headphones feature a sleek design whose hinge allows for easy rotation and fold into a bag, along with a duo jack so a friend can also plug in and listen along to your music. As nice as they look, the construction of the sound chamber features a multi-layer, multi-piece layout for an extremely crisp, clear, audio experience.
My Fanny Wangs are in white, but the 1000 series also has four other color options, with the 2000 and 3000 series offering even more colors and furthering the luxury headphone experience with noise cancelling features, a mic, adjustable bass, and more.
