Hello! And Happy Friday! I’ve experienced a bunch of fantastic items and events over the past week, and can’t wait to share them with you. In the meanwhile, I also revamped the Fashion Pulse Daily Press Section, where you can find links and PDFs of Fashion Pulse Daily and/or me being quoted, linked to, or features penned by me, and found elsewhere. I hope you like it!
One of the more recent features you’ll find there is the piece I wrote on Stylish Workout Apparel for The Today Show’s website, Today.com. Thanks for checking out the latest happenings at FPD; I sooo appreciate your readership and comments!
Last week I was thrilled to attend the launch event for Diptyque‘s latest scent, Florabellio, which hits Diptyque stores and retailers in late April of 2015. Diptyque Paris, at six decades in business and going strong, is an iconic fragrance house originated in Paris and is most well-known for candles, home and personal fragrances. Thinking about what you may experience moving from the “woods to the shore” holds as a point of inspiration for the fragrance, which incorporates notes addressed by the brand as salty sea spray, sea fennel, apple blossom, and apricot-scented osmanthus mist, roasted coffee with toasted sesame accents. It’s a blend of rich scents that marvelously work together; definitely feminine but not overly so, and at its core, luxurious and easy. In a nutshell, it’s lovely, and I think you’ll come to enjoy it just as much as I did – only three more months to go until it’s officially here!
When I receive a promise of beauty enhancement on several levels, and I don’t even have to do anything…I am totally in to give it a go. Wouldn’t you do the same?
The newly launched Cricket Ultra Smooth Professional Hair Dryer has infused argan oil and keratin protein into the outlet filter which then has the air flow through it and onto the hair. The results, aren’t invasive, but still significant; I found my hair to be soft, smooth, and sans flyways without the help of a blow dry serum, gel, or lotion of any sort, and the dryer itself was so easy to handle and operate, weighing in at just 16 ounces. It also is quite efficient, as has three heat and two speed settings, and can go up to a wind speed of 59mph, which essentially means your hair can be dry in a jiffy! The Cricket Ultra Smooth Professional Hair Dryer is currently available at LoxaBeauty.com for $100.

Speaking of blow drying…the only thing better than using an awesome hair dryer is…having someone dry and style your hair for you! I recently received a blow out at my favorite salon, Sassoon, in honor of the debut of its new blow & style menu that features competitively priced services of a wash and style starting at $45! Some examples of the styles are the Sassoon Signature ultra sleek look, and the ever-popular Curly Wave. If you’d like a dry styling option (no wash) for $25, you could try something like a messy ponytail or fishtail braid. My style (featured above), was a hybrid of two of the wave styling options, and came out perfectly. Head to Sassoon‘s website to find salon near you and make an appointment; I have a good feeling that the results will blow you away!
When you have sensitive skin, trying new skincare products can be matched with trepidation and squeamishness. The last thing I want to do is cause a break out or rash, so I always do my homework first to check on the brand and the ingredients so that I can limit my reaction to (hopefully) just a positive one. The latest item that I tried was the Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk, $28, a 4-in-1 ultra light cream that does all of this: removes makeup of even the most waterproof variety, purifies, smoothes, and re-energizes; yes! All of this happens with the help of the caffeinated oxyginseng technology, peach and goji berry extracts which include antioxidants plus vitamins A & C, quillaja bark, a tree-derived non-drying cleansing ingredient, and the ultra emollient properties of jojoba oil. It’s also dermatolically tested and free of parabens, sulfates , and phthalates, and the generous 16.9 ounce bottle will last and last and last but ward off bacteria from entering thanks to its pump distribution. If you’re good on your cleanser, you may want to check out a few other items from the brand, such its Hand Food Hand Cream, Flake Away Body Polish, and A Great Kisser Lip Moisture Balm.
