I’m so thrilled to share that I was quoted in The New York Times this week! Please click through to the feature, “Spray Deodorants Are Rehabilitated, With Help From Europeans”, which is quite an interesting read on one of my favorite thing — spray deodorants from Italy! See the very bottom for my quote, and post in the comments if you’ve tried Unilever’s new line of deodorant sprays (Dove, Degree, etc).

Product innovation and great package design gets me every time, and I’ve got to give two rounds of applause for the ingenious new Benefit Cosmetics Roller lash Super-Curling & Lifting Mascara ($24). The “hook ‘n’ roll” applicator brush is on a slight curve and grabs each lash to impart mascara while lifting and curling, and the formula has 12-hour staying power for all-day wear. Plus, you won’t find any parabens, sulfates, or phthalates in the ingredients, and can’t help but love the noticeable, extra oomph your lashes will receive once applied!
Being kind to your skin, especially your face, is so important in order to maintain the integrity, texture, and health of it, hence, it’s important to be gentle yet efficient when it comes to cleansing. The new CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser Bar is an awesome solution, as it not only removes dirt, oil, and makeup, is gentle, non-irritating, and non-comedogenic, but also ultra-moisturizes, nourishes, and locks that hydration into the skin thanks to the infusion of 5% CeraVe Moisturizing cream.
If you have dry skin like me, this is very much welcome news! You can also use this bar on both your face and body, and is launching at the perfect time, when all of our skin is particularly dry and in need of a little TLC. The CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser Bar retails for $4.99 for the 4.5 oz bar at Walgreens, CVS, and Walmart, available now.
I tend to wax poetic about fashion and beauty, but don’t divulge too far into the hygiene category. Attempting to veer into that category a bit, I thought I’d tell you a bit about one of my personal pet peeves: my teeth. Growing up I was lucky enough to dodge wearing braces (my brother, not so much), and these days I tend to fixate on desiring the whitest teeth possible, with one major caveat: my teeth are majorly sensitive. That means I can’t do laser treatments or professional trays, and although I try over-the-counter whitening kits, I hit a point where those start to make my teeth and gums even more sensitive than usual.
Luckily I’ve been testing out a combination of toothpastes that have working well in the whitening, cleaning, and sensitivity department, with absolutely no issues. In the morning, I use Colgate Optic White Express White Toothpaste during the day, and Colgate Sensitive Maximum Strength Whitening Toothpaste. My teeth feel great, and look whiter, which means my smile is bigger! If you have sensitive teeth issues, I recommend trying one, or both of these toothpastes to build toward great results.
