Happy Friday everybody! This week, I was proud to appear on the homepage of Today.com in the feature, 7 Beauty Blogger Tips to Disaster-Proof Your Wedding Look.Regardless of if you are getting married, this feature has some handy pointers from myself and fellow beauty colleagues about how to prepare for, from a beauty perspective, for a big event.

I als0 celebrated the launch of the new women’s collection Promesse, from one of the oldest Swiss watch makers around, Baume & Mercier, this past Wednesday night. Promesse, which is French for “promise,” signifies the celebration of originality and personality through a luxe time piece.  The new line was introduced and modeled by the lovely Jessica Paré, of the AMC Original Series, “Mad Men,” sporting model  Promesse #10160. Choose from among 14 styles that feature details such as two-toned steel and red gold- capped steel, glossy black calfskin, and alligator straps, with black mother-of-pearl, and of course, diamond bezels. Promesse will be available at select retailers nationwide and at the brand’s website in September, starting at $1,900.

My wonderful friends Audrey and Vera invited me to a brand meet and great, their annual Getting Gorgeous with VO5 event  in which I met with about a dozen brands and got to try exciting new products, ranging from resistance bands from Rexist360 to bras by Bali Intimates, beauty and fragrance goodies from Calgon, and Designer Imposters Fragrances, and old familiar staples like Carmex, Vitabath, Johnson’s Baby, and Aveeno Baby.  It’s great to make personal connections with brands, but also have the opportunity to test out new products. Some of the Vitabath fragrances I didn’t know existed, such as Lime Citron Basil and Asian Orchid & Coconut smelled heavenly, while Calgon has new epsom salt scents (Lavender & Honey and Hawaiian Ginger!), and as you probably know, I am ADDICTED to a good old fashioned epsom salt soak, so this was GREAT news!
