Think little boy all grown up. General Idea’s modern menswear and streetwear took inspiration from athletics, more specifically hockey. Titled “After Games,” the Fall/Winter 2012 collection transformed sportswear to ready to wear by bringing in heavy duty boots, high tops, furs, parka jackets, and plaids and quilted fabrics all in gorgeous earthy colors. The burnt orange was so refreshing, yet masculine and strong, plus, how about legging sweatpants? I think it’s the new go-to piece for the girlfriend to steal! Layering any of these pieces will make the perfect utilitarian look. Our favorite? The cream fur vest with maroon trimming paired over an olive green jacket and grey turtleneck.
