Decades, Inc boutique owners Cameron Silver and Christos Garkinos prove that opposites attract when it comes to business, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some bumps along the way, rife for an original show series! The latest to premiere on BRAVO this Wednesday, March 6th at 10:30pm ET/PT, “Dukes of Melrose” follows the daily trajectory of these two co-owners of one of the most famous boutiques for vintage (from the 1920s-present) and modern luxury clothing and accessories, chronicling their buying process, the stress of awards season, and general quips and drama that occur. Christos, the more frugal of the two, is constantly battling with Cameron to stay within budget when haggling for prices on gowns, trying to work more starlets, socialites, and stylists to give them items on consignment instead of increasing their debt.
After screening episode one of the series, I totally get what a fascinating, and addicting business it can be to work with such unique individuals and one-of-a-kind pieces from a storied location on Melrose Avenue in LA. If you ever wondered what it was like to run a fashion business with a focus on vintage, pre-owned garments, now is your chance to peek into that world, while getting an extra dish of drams thanks to the clashing, yet lovable personalities of Cameron and Christos.
