The feeling behind Cushnie et Ochs’ FW 2011 collection was one of modern simplicity mixed with luxe toughness. She’s a “get the job done” type of woman, someone who I trust” said Danilo when I asked him about his inspiration for the hair. The clothes were well tailored to fit the figure with geometric cuts and slim silhouettes made of luxurious dimensional fabrics, leather and fur. I felt the overall look had an air of aggression pulled together in a sophisticated way.

Makeup: Charlotte Tilbury for Mac Cosmetics
the look: modern, contoured and shaded
products: contour colors in browns, tans and taupes, gold powder highlighter, gloss for the eyelids, no mascara!
tips: contour the natural bone structure of your face using contour at the hallows and highlighter on the high points. Use a gloss sparingly over the eyelids, no need for mascara. Finish off the look with a nude lip pencil over the entire lip.
Hair: Danilo for Pantene
the look: pulled back sleek into a modern bun with height
products: Pantene Beautiful Lengths Smoothing Balm, bungee elastic with hooks to secure the ponytail and hair pins to secure the bun
tips: pull the hair back into a tight ponytail and twist into a two-strand braid. Wrap the braid around itself until you form a bun that is elevated off the base. Adorn with feather or other accessories to match your outfit!
Nails: Patricia Yankee for Dashing Diva Salon
the look: “caviar” using actual beads that adorned the collection – runway only
nail color: Limo Service by Dashing Diva
tips: paint black polish over the entire nail, 2 coats. When the nail is dry, brush a nail adhesive over the nail and dip into a container full of beads and voila! a textured manicure right off the runway!
