Seeing dots? We certainly are — and LOVING it! After the global window installation opening on 5th Avenue at the Louis Vuitton store, in honor of the House’s collaboration with Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, we couldn’t help but notice how powerful, and visually appealing, the varied oversized dots can be! Most recognized for her work with dots and mesh for decades, Kusama’s exhibit at The Whitney Musuem of Modern Art just opened, and her collection with Louis Vuitton hits stores in October (we can’t wait!!). If you’ve been feeling the polka dot bug and want to dance (you know, do the polka?!?) then here’s some great pieces you can get your hands on now!

From our friends at thefind.com:
The whole “fit-and-flared” trend that took summer sundresses by storm is starting to branch out to invade everything from our tops, skirts, and jackets to boot! Peplum has always been a rather tricky shape to pull off – How much flare is too flared? How do I choose a shape that still flatters my own proportions? – but these peplum tanks make mastering the trend a cinch! Add an instant dose of girliness to an otherwise tomboy-chic ensemble by pairing one of these chic tanks with some tailored shorts and a cropped blazer, or rock with your favorite pair of colored or coated jeans. Easy-peasy! Not only does it help cinch in your waist to enhance your figure (and provide extra wiggle room if you’ve gone a little too overboard with all that yummy summer party food!), but the skirted style also adds effortless chicness in a way that’s still comfortable!

For Resort 2013, ethereal designer Erin Fetherston once again created an overtly feminine collection featuring vibrant colors and spiritted neutrals in her signature dress style. For resort, Fetherston is making a bit of a departure from her usual frilly tea dresses by stealthily moving into some heavy sequins, gowns, and separates. Erin spoke to Style.com of the collection saying, “It’s about energetic, bright, crisp colors.” While the collection is still quintessential Fetherston, she dabbled in some darker colors and body conscious looks as well to create a bit of complimentary toughness.

Marchesa presents Resort 2013, a collection inspired by delightful childhood memories of an English garden party. While you may not have been attending elegant soirées, you can certainly envision the free imagination and larger-than-life looks of the collection. Colorful cocktail dresses and long evening gowns find a companion in delicate, lightweight tea-length coats. Playful tulle and and laser-cut lace seem faultlessly aligned with mother of pearl accents. Divergent tones of fuchsia and blue with ivory and rose add an element of depth to this enchanting vision of a garden party, a party I’d certainly like to attend!
Alongside the collection, Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig will debut a complementary collection of their signature handbags. Day-to-evening bags are structured in vivid exotics, and delicately embellished crystal miniaudieres and envelope clutches remain true to evening wear.
