The Most Important Beauty & Skincare Products for Summer 2019

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the warmer weather to peek around the corner and then be here for good. It looks like it may actually be happening now, which is GREAT since I’ve tested and stockpiled a bunch of beauty products that are perfect for the warmer months. Below you will find my list of must-haves, along with some field notes on what makes them so awesome for the upcoming season.

Aveeno Fresh Greens Blend Dry Shampoo ($8.49, Walmart.com)

Unwanted oil and grease in your hair this summer will go ba-bye with this volumizing dry shampoo that smells amazing thanks to oats, rosemary, peppermint and cucumber. The sulfate free dry shampoo also possesses o dyes or parabens, and is perfect for a steamy day to humid night transition, especially if there is no time for an actual hair wash. Actually, who am I kidding; I never have time for an actual hair wash, so regardless of the season, this is my new go-to!

Four Ways to Smell Better This Spring

Everything for me these days is about extreme efficiency, so the more I can do in the shortest amount of time is what reigns supreme. I like to give the impression, however, that I have put a decent amount of time into the way I look, dress, and smell, even though in reality I have none to spare. Luckily for me, I’ve brought four great products into the ring that have kept me smelling lovely the past few weeks with very little effort on my part. Enjoy my list, and I hope you find one that you love too!

Let’s start with the feet: I play tennis 1-2 times per week, and will be the first to tell you that my tennis shoes stink! If I’m really being honest about it, they could use some help so that anyone who is within a 10 foot radius of me taking them off doesn’t pass out. AE + Aerie for Summer 2019

Now that it feels as if spring may actually appear, I thought it was about time that I share some select looks from AE and Aerie for summer 2019. If you’re thinking that early to mid -1990s fashion is making a comeback, you’re certainly correct; from retro graphics, prints, and colorways to “flood” hemlines, bucket hats, and scrunchies, it’s all appearing again now which may lead to quite a nostalgic summer in 2019 (at least as far as fashion and accessories go).

From aerie we are seeing tube tops and tank top cuts in swimwear, as well as a little less fabric on the derriere and higher thigh cut outs as far as swimwear bottoms are concerned. Biker shorts, gingham and a general joie de vivre take precedence in the designs this season, so matter if you are heading to a HIIT workout class or preparing to lounge in a cabana, all of your style bases are covered!
