It really doesn’t get much better than an awesome deal at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls; I remember even an incredible one I got on a pair of shoes…15 years ago. If you’re anything like me, which basically means you have a great eye for style and LOVE finding a deal worthy of writing home about, then chances are you’ve set foot in one of these stores and most likely bought something! I went to the Summer Soiree this past week, and was impressed with the range of product that I saw within these theme that seemed to just get cooler and cooler with every passing moment. Encouraged to shop the different categories, I absolutely fell in love with Tahari picture frames, laptop bags, outdoor rugs, and nautical-themed garments.

Everything you’d need for summer entertaining, vacationing, and lounging was there; even a grilling tool kit (I grabbed this for my Dad!), and cocktail drink mixes! I’ve attached some pics of my favorites here (above and below), and love that new items are constantly coming in, which make it an adventure every time you step inside a store.

I gravitated toward the beachy clothes and coverups, walking away with a gorgeous Michael Kors long pleated skirt with an ocean print. Plus, if you’re in the market for a bathing suit, don’t forget T.J. Maxx or Marshalls, and I’m sure while you’re there, you may just pick up some shades and a beach towel too!

While summer holidays do present the opportunity to wear a bikini as much as possible, to lounge around in strapless tops trying to avoid tan-lines, and to hope the hurried layer of suncream is enough to protect skin, the chicer option for holidaywear has got to include a fiesta of lightweight cover ups, flowing palazzo trousers and large brimmed hats reminiscent of glamorous icons Faye Dunaway and Brigitte Bardot. In relation to wardrobe malfunctions, as well as to skin, effortless sophistication is a much safer option.
