Here’s the last looks from backstage at the Spring 2014 New York Fashion Weeks shows; we leave you, until next session, with a bang, with looks from Vera Wang, Naeem Khan, Clover Canyon, and Betsey Johnson. See the bottom of the post for the final beauty trends to emerge from the week!

Vera Wang: Nails, Makeup
Jin Soon Choi of JinSoon Nail Lacquer created a “high profile nude” for the show, a see through sheer that matched perfectly with Wang’s spring collection without detracting from it. Clean and modern, the nude nail is due to make a resurgence in top nail trends very soon….
Lucia Pieroni, working with Clé de Peau Beauté, created a sporty, natural look for Vera Wang, with a dewy glow and soft peachy/oranges tones being integral to the color palette. With a great skin base of moisturizer, serum, and moisturizer, the brand’s Luminizing Face Enhancer completed the dewy look. Some brown was added to the lash line, with the palettes of ‘peach brown” being applied, swirling some peach blush just on the apples, finishing on the lips with the Enriched Lip Luminizer im Watermelon Sugar.

Alexandre Herchcovitch: Nails
Unusual for spring, but just perfect for his collection this season, the team at Zoya went black with a touch of a metallic finish and created an opaque nail look with “Raven,” applying two coats of the dark hue with the Zoya Armor top coast for a shiny, polished finish.

It’s true that orange is one of the hardest colors to wear, but in the next few months, you will hopefully become as familiar and comfortable with it as a neutral shade! Which, by the way, is the best way to easy into the color; pairing it with a neutral or dabbling into it via a lipstick, nail polish, or accessory will get you accustomed to the shade in no time. We found the shades on lids, lips, nail tips, and all over the runway this season. Here’s some great examples of the on-trend shade for 2014:
Tommy Hilfiger
The use of orange in sportswear seems like a sensible, sporty shade easy to execute, seen here at Tommy Hilfiger paired with a bit of heel and it’s close cousin, vibrant red.

You want to know the beauty trends to come out of the spring 2014 collections, and I can’t wait to tell you! See below for some of our favorite looks from New York Fashion Week, including inspiration, product information, how-tos, and more! See the bottom of the post for the trends to surface from the first few days of New York Fashion Week, and the best beauty looks from Kate Spade, Rebecca Minkoff, Helmut Lang, and Mara Hoffman.

Kate Spade: Nails
Deborah Lippmann created the incredible nail look for Kate Spade for spring, dubbing the shape an “almondetto” (part almond, part stiletto), with a new twist on the French mani. With gunmetal on the tips, the stripe shades of It’s Raining Men, Groove is in the Heart, or Walking on Sunshine (launching summer 2014) alternated and the look was topped off with a matte finish. With a little patience and thinner brushes (a striping brush will do), you can definitely duplicate this downtown meets uptown look at home!

Rebecca Minkoff: Nails, Hair Makeup
